Profiles are text files that contain values that the user would like to use and reuse in MIPAV dialogs to perform image analysis and visualization. One can enter some values in any dialog box and then save them as a profile to reuse later. For example, if the user performs the same operation for multiple images there are 2 options in MIPAV:
* [[FAQ: Understanding Memory]]

* [[FAQ: Customizing MIPAV]]
*To write a script and run it for multiple images;
* [[FAQ: Understanding Image Basics]]
*To save dialog box settings in a profile and then upload that profile to use with other image(s).
* [[FAQ: Understanding Changes in MIPAV]]

* [[FAQ: Trimming VOIs]]
The Save Profile option allows to save current settings in a text file.
* [[FAQ: How can I view the debugging output of MIPAV?]]

* [[FAQ: How can I fix a "Cannot load Java Virtual Machine" error (memory limit set too high)?]]
The Save Default option allows to save current settings and use them as default settings.
* [[FAQ: How do I setup and use Active stereo display in MIPAV?]]

* [[FAQ: Why do I get an exception when running MIPAV via X11 forwarding on Linux?]]
The Load Profile option allows to load the profile file and use the settings from the loaded profile.
